Gravitation is a shonen-ai manga made into a 13-episode anime. The story focuses on an aspiring lead singer, Shuichi Shindou and his band, Bad Luck. The band consists of Shuichi and his best friend, Hiro Naklano, a guitarist. Shuichi's big dream is to make Bad Luck Japan's next big star, following in the footdsteps of his famous idol Ryuichi Sakuma, the lead singer of a now disbanded legendary group known as Nittle Gasper.

The story begins as Shuichi is struggling to write the lyrics for Bad Luck's newest song and on the way home in the evening, the paper with the lyrics are blown away and into the hands of a tall, blonde stranger. The stranger skims the paper and bluntly tells Shuichi that he has zero talent and it's the worst thing he's ever read. From there begins a trial of drama, comedy and romance as Shuichi tries to come to terms with the stranger while pursuing his lifelong dream.
